Act 3; Scene 21: It's Fairly Official

This week we had an awesome home inspection. And because of that, I'm finally feeling confident enough to put it on the blog...

It's pretty much official at this point.

I've signed enough papers to make it seem REALLY official.

Our new abode is in Lehi, Utah, right at the tip of Utah Lake. Here, let me give you a tour...

Front of the house. What you can't see is a cute little tree with purple leaves that is just out of view of the left hand corner of this picture

The kitchen. Love the tall sink faucet.

The living room, directly across from the kitchen. Not sure about the two-toned...we'll see.

I affectionately call this the "parlor." It's to the left right when you come in the door, and behind it is the living room. Some Robert McFarland artwork will look AWESOME in this room :-)

Bedroom 1: darling molding and great color!

Bedroom 2: Another fantastic wall--I also like the color. Big window hidden by curtain

Bedroom 3: Not pictured...right now it's a toy room, but it will become my props/costume/sewing/storage room.

Master bedroom (walk-in closet and attached bathroom included)

And I saved the best part for last. The backyard and view:

Yes, there is a giant park right behind our fenced backyard, and yes, a slat does come out of the fence so that we can go right over there. I love love love that I'm not looking into another person's house when I look out the window! And the deck is a definite bonus.

Also not pictured that I am really excited about:
  • Landing area upstairs
  • large-ish garden plot (tomatoes, green beans, zucchini and pumpkins, here I come!)
  • A really nice shed for storage
  • You can see some of the trees here--there are two more fir trees that you can't see.
  • Laundry room. Hello! Can't wait to get a hold of a washer and dryer at home!!!
We move December 7th and 8th. Just in time to set up everything for the post-Thanksgiving holidays. Merry Christmas to us!

  1. I am so excited for you. Wish we could be there to help you move in.
